JAMS Ready to Ship on Itanium Platform

Columbus, Ohio - February 11, 2005 - MVP Systems, Inc., the premiere leader in providing job scheduling applications for the OpenVMS Operating System today announced the immediate availability of JAMS, Job Access & Management System, on the Intel(r) Itanium(r) 2 platform.

JAMS is a reliable, full featured, multi-platform job scheduling system supporting the OpenVMS, Windows NT/2000 and UNIX/Linux environments.

JAMS was successfully ported to the Itanium(r) 2 platform in October, 2003. Today's announcement enables clients to confidently migrate JAMS to Itanium by downloading a production quality release from the www.mvpsi.com website.

"Our goal is to always have JAMS available on the latest platforms and remain a step ahead of the demand curve. The availability of JAMS on Itanium assures our customers a fast time-to-market for their adoption of Itanium-based technology," said John Vottero, Vice President of Development for MVP.

JAMS manages batch application integration and cross platform job dependencies by automating the entire life cycle of batch job processing, from the initial end-user request, to scheduling jobs, monitoring jobs for successful completion, and distributing the information produced by jobs.

The complexities associated with running a professionally managed data center are significantly reduced with JAMS. Through its robust job scheduling features, JAMS integrates complex business processes across multiple applications and platforms and provides an easy way for different applications to work together. By scheduling specific tasks to be run in a specific order, JAMS allows IT organizations to implement business processes that depend on multiple tasks across different applications while managing dependencies between platforms so that business processes flow without interruption.
