MVP to add Windows Workflow Foundation to Its Task Scheduling and Process Automation Solutions
Windows Workflow Activities to be included with next generation of JAMS
Orlando, Florida – October 17, 2006 – MVP Systems, Inc., the developer of JAMS, a leading task scheduling and process automation application, built on the .NET platform, today at the HP Technology Exchange in Orlando, announced that it will integrate Windows Workflow Foundation into the next generation of JAMS.
Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation is part of the WinFX suite of technologies and provides a rich graphical designer for Visual Studio .NET that enables developers to easily define and use workflows within applications.
Building on the success of JAMS for Windows .NET, which was released in June 2005, MVP will add support for running, managing and monitoring Windows Workflows. JAMS will provide enterprise class scheduling, monitoring, load balancing and event resolution for Workflows.
In addition, MVP is planning to include a suite of Windows Workflow Activities with JAMS. These will include activities used to exploit the features of JAMS and activities for cross platform workflows.
JAMS for Windows .NET is designed to take full advantage of the features and functionality of the .NET platform and meets the highest standards of scheduling, sequencing and monitoring. The product simplifies the difficulties of managing, running, and scheduling scripts or tasks across platforms to enable easy application integration and datacenter automation.
Microsoft expects Windows Workflow Foundation to ship in the second half of 2007. MVP plans to have a beta version of JAMS with Windows Workflow Foundation support available to users in Q2 2007.
