Monitoring what's going on is easy with JAMS. This screen shot shows a typical Monitor session. You can see the jobs that are executing and jobs that are waiting for resources or their scheduled time. You can also manage (abort, release, hold etc.) jobs from this window.

JAMS can handle ad-hoc, on request jobs. This screen shot shows a job being submitted, the dialog box is prompting for values for the parameters that the job needs.
